Hello,

Thank you very much

No, I was diagnosed several years ago. MSKCC only provided Radiation Oncology therapeutic modality following lunmpectomy .

I am interested in added consultations regarding potential Immunology therapeutic Modalities and potential bilateral mastectomy.

Would you know if any kistservs that address bilateral mastectomies following diagnosis of Tubular Apocrine Triple Negative Breast Carcinoma?

Thank you again

Kindly,

Susan

Hello, I am sorry you are going through this it is awful and this is why we need to have as much information as possible. I was diagnosed last week with this type of cancer and offered neoadjuvant therapy (chemotherapy 8 cycles including anthracyclines and immunotherapy Keytruda) followed by surgery and then Keytruda and radiation. What happened to you since September/ the date of your post? I am looking for a second opinion but i believe will follow this treatment given that the size of area where calcifications were noted and was biopsied is 2.5 cm x 3.2 cm and the cancer was graded as Nottingham grade 2 .

I very much appreciate your responsiveness and empathy.

Very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It seems like you are receiving prompt treatment. I can imagine the new diagnosis is stress filled.

I have found the academic medical center to be very difficult. I have repeatedly requested a MD who specializes in Triple Negative Breast Cancer and I have not been assigned to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer specialist MD , as of yet.

I have a MRI scheduled next week and I will then re- contact several Dept Chairs at MSK.

I will update you.

Hoping your treatment is going well.

Best,

Susan

Thank you for your good wishes! I hope you find the Triple Negative Breast Cancer specialist. Having the MRI is reassuring as you need this procedure as part of the treatment so you are in the right direction. Please keep me updated. As I mentioned I will start chemotherapy next week including Keytruda (immunotherapy) (I indicated the exact medication used in a message above and this is therapy used in trial Keynote 522 used for Triple Negative Breast Cancer). I will keep you posted and please let me know how things are going for you.

@tulip55 Thank you for your kind words and empathy.

I will check NIH NCE Clinical Trials for Keynote 522 ( However I have a rare TN mutation. I don’t know if my mutation is a match).

Would you be able to reference the name of your Oncology MD and hospital for my second opinion?
