Mine is not a recent surgery but would love to share my story & outcome . I had Scoliosis ( 48 degree angle S Shape) Surgery June 23, 1981 in San Diego, Ca. Childrens Hospital, outcome overall has been positive. I have lived a pretty productive life, giving birth to 2 children 1990 & 1994 even though at the age of 13 ( year of surgery), I was told that I might never have any & def. not to term ( which i did/ even if it was thru C-+sections). Although I am now as I'm older am having many issues, I don't complain. I have worked all my life till 4 years ago & in 2025 was disabled due to my issues. The harrignton Rod Fusion to me I believe saved my life otherwise I'd be much worse off.

@martie67
Martie , I am also in California--had my Scoliosis surgery at the Los Angeles Children's Hospital.
I mentioned in my prior comment to you that I had my surgery in 1977; I was 19 years old. Now I am 67. Our situation is similar except I recently had corrective surgery for the area below my prior fusion.
As you move forward, don't hesitate to contact me.
