Thank you so much for the ingredients in the eye cream. I'll work on finding someone to order it. That itching is so bad; it's like 20 mosquito bites in one place. I have reduced the gabapentin from 1800mg a day to 1200mg and so far it's OK. I don't have the intense attacks, but I have 'zinging' in my head and, of course, the itching. I still have hope that eventually the myelin sheath on the nerve may heal. At least it is not the unbearable pain I first experienced. Some people talk about a constant burning pain, so TN takes different routes with different people. Mine were attacks of a couple minutes, but they drove me to my knees and all I could do was scream and cry. Horrible pain. Thankfully the gabapentin stopped them. I was nervous about reducing the dosage, but no attacks so far. I just want to take as little gabapentin as I can; have read about possible dementia from it and that is scary.

@kathleenintexas I, too, have concerns about Gabapentin and dementia. So far, I have passed all the tests. I've taken it for 14 years and have been able to reduce it to 600mg daily gradually. With the cream on my upper eyelid area, I get by fine during the day, but the horrific itching occurs mostly late evenings. I have to be super careful not to touch that area, or it will set off the itching at any time. For about 6 years, I could only sleep with a frozen gel compress across my scalp. I would use a couple each night, and it helped tremendously. I had that severe nerve pain for the first two months and would get on my knees and scream into a pillow. My pain has mostly subsided, but the itching is awful.
