I Have had bronchiectasis for 20 years. 8 years ago they found MAC through a sputum test and treated it with 3 antibiotics for a year. In the last 4 years the sputum cultures show Mycobacterium Abscessus, a very drug resistant bacteria. Has anyone had this bacteria living in their lungs and successfully treated it?
