I believe many insurance companies deny expensive meds as a matter of course. They are trying to save money. One of my doctors told me that the second appeal is the one that starts costing insurance companies money, because then they start needing to get attorneys involved.

So my advice is to go for that second appeal! Best of luck to you, and to all of us, as we fight these for-profit insurance companies that prioritize profit over subscriber health.

@sesameseedling Thanks. I took the appeal process as far as I could. Their final decision was a big fat no, but they did approve Tymlos, which I am currently taking. I plan to stay on it for the full 2 years. I hope the insurance landscape will have changed by then and I can get Evenity approved as my follow up drug.
