Hi Karen,
I know it's early but it is encouraging that you are doing so well.! I'm looking at a similar surgery. One doctor said L1 to Sacrum and the other said T10 on down. Do you mind sharing your age? I am a 60 year old male w chronic and leg pain looking forward to feeling better and being more active. I am currently fused L4 to S1 and C4 to Tl .
Thank you!

@orloffjr I’m 59 and felt as though I was in the best shape physically to endure and recover from a complex surgery. It is such a difficult decision, especially with outcomes not being certain. Praying for you to have wise counsel and confidence in your decision.

I had T10 to S1 surgery about 18 months ago for sciatica down my left leg and scoliosis. I’m 73 years old . Female. It did indeed fix the sciatica. I made the mistake of bending too early to cut my toe nails and developed a compression fracture. I’ll be having pedicures probably the rest of my life. (What a problem to have ; >). Be very careful during your recovery.
