Has anyone else had tachycardia with Orgovyx?
Rapid heart rate started half way through IMRT. Had fever for 2 weeks before tachycardia. On orgovyx started 12 days before radiation. Got 20 treatments 3 gy per session. Finished radiation Dec 8 th . symptoms since thanksgiving. I want to stop orgovyx for a couple of weeks to see if my heart rate would return to normal but fear that would cause cancer to go out control. One day I did not take orgovyx and heart rate was better next day. Has anyone’s radiation oncologist told you it is okay to go off orgovyx for a time couple of weeks this early in treatment? Are there other options to lower testerone or prostate cancer drug I could take if cannot take orgovyx? Has anyone else had tachycardia with orgovyx? I have 4+3 unfavorable prostate cancer with a .88 decipher. I see cardiologist in January.

what strength is your metaprolol? Mine is 25. I usually get the tack or Afib or Atrial flutter at night between say 2 and 6 o'clock. Maybe I haven't been on it long enough?
On Orgovyx prior 2 months to Photonrad. Your prognosis about the same as mine 79, somewhat active & on blood pressure meds. I made the comment to one of the attendants during radiation, about my blood pressure < 103 over < 62 -- 95/55 at times. he made the statement that they have had another patient that they spotted in the lobby (waiting for radiation ) and he seemed dizzy and wobbly , upon asking the patient (admittedly said yes) contacted his GP and adjusted his BP meds. I take my BP 2x a day, and quit them for a 2 weeks went to 115/75 consistently. So GP adjustments probably the way to go?

Well, that was a waste of 3 hours. EP doc ordered an echo and sent me back to cardio-oncology. First time meeting him. Bit of a goofball. Kinda like that kid in class that was always getting yelled at for spacing out. Said he's not doing anything unless oncology signs off. Told him not to worry because I wouldn't let him stick a catheter in my heart anyway. Geez Louise!

I take 50 mg of metoprolol Twice a day. I get occasional PACs (skipped beats) But it has only happened once since August.
I was having a serious problem with my pulse. Going up to 120 walking eight steps from my bedroom to the bathroom. Metoprolol Stopped that completely.
