Hello, my son who had cancer had this procedure. He was sedated. It wasn't painful. But you could have soreness in your throat and minimal bleeding. Not everyone will have the same outcome. My son had a very small amount of bleeding. But it subsided in a few hours. And no issues afterwards. The doctor will give you instructions for your followup care. Take care, wishing you all the best.
