@jimiwho I apologize. I just saw this post. In my experience and a lot of what I have read on some of these groups, Long COVID seems to mimic other autoimmune disease symptoms. I have gone through GI issues, interstitial cystitis, RA symptoms, chronic fatigue, post-exertion malaise and other weird symptoms. I have had several skin rashes that the dermatologist can't explain. When I first got sick, I was tested for EVERYTHING. The RA IGg came back positive and yet now, it is not there. Rashes are sometimes a sign of Sjorgen's, Gi issues can be related to symptoms of Crone's disease and also my ANA titer was present which is a sign of an autoimmune issue. That was all about 3 1/2 years ago. Epstein Barr Virus was reactivated in me as well. So, all this to say, I do not have ANY of these autoimmune disease, however I have had many of the symptoms and I am not alone. If you read others comments, they have also experienced many symptoms, some similar and some different. I believe that the Covid virus attaches itself to cells in our bodies, tricks them and our bodies and immune system ends up fighting itself. I am not a doctor, but I have done a lot of reading on this due to not one doctor having ANY answers when I first got sick. There is research going on, and I have hope. In the 80's and 90's HIV was a death sentence. Now, it is treatable. This is my hope.
