I've also had 6 Evenity shots. The technician at the infusion center told me that Evenity builds bone for the first 6 months & then retains the gains for the remaining 6--acting like a bisphosphonate. My insurance changed as of Jan 1, so I am waiting for approval to continue the course of treatment. Unless denied, I plan to finish the treatment and then give my body a break from any strong drugs. My HRT is also being modified to address bone health.

After a short break I plan to take Strontium Citrate. The success stories on Inspire.com have convinced me that it's worth trying. Then I'll get a REMS scan to evaluate next steps.

@singingbones, I'll check out Inspire.com. I don't know much about strontium, but am ready to give any safe option a try. My REMS scan last year showed much better numbers than my DEXA, but I still fractured, which was disappointing, as you can imagine. It's so hard to know what to do.
