@honeyholley1 I was new to self-injectors when I got Repatha, so I needed coaching from my spouse.
Please try the following:
Clean the area with alcohol and let dry.
Remove the orange cap that covers the needle.
Firmly grasp a "fold" of the sanitized area with one hand.
Hold the open end of the injector very firmly against the folded flesh. (Don't try to inject directly into your abdomen.)
Push down hard on the plunger end with your thumb ( you will hear an audible click) and hold in place until the injection finishes - about 15 seconds, but I never counted. There will be a second, softer click as the needle retracts.
Replace the orange cap & dispose of your injector per local instructions. If the doctor didn't provide a sharps container, you can ask for one.
Here is a You Tube video to show you how:

If this doesn't work, you can take the injector to the pharmacy for teaching by the pharmacist, or to your doctor's office for help from the shot nurse or tech.

If you know anyone who does self-injections, they can probably help you get started.

@honeyholley1 Make sure the injector is perpendicular to the area you are injecting. You need to pinch an area so you can get enough flesh to create a "mound" to offer resistance to the injector so it can press firmly into the flesh. It should "click" when the conditions are met. I've found that am unable to inject my thighs because I don't have enough fat to make a large enough pinch area. My belly area is much easier, and I alternate with the backs of my arms - my husband helps with those. Best of luck to you.
