I am wondering if a UV sterilizer, like those used in nail salons along with a bowl full of barbicide would work? First soak in barbicide and then put in the sterilizer. That would cut back on time washing and using the baby bottle sterilizer three times a day.

@picartist Personally, I would not be comfortable using Barbicide on my equipment, as it can be difficult to rinse away completely. UV sterilization is also limited, since it cannot effectively reach all of the small internal surfaces of nebulizer components. The Falkinham/Honda lab is planning to evaluate several cleaning and sterilization methods, and I hope their findings will help guide best practices and provide reassurance. My understanding is that they plan to include baby-bottle sterilizers among the methods tested, though the timing of this work is not yet clear.

@picartist Here is a plan that avoids 3x per day sterilizing.
Soak after each use in hot dish soap water and rinse with sterilized or filtered water. Sterilize once a day. The soaking and rinsing will eliminate a majority of bacteria, which would non have time to grow substantially in a few hours.
If you are determined to sterilize after every use, or you are using the Pari eFlow handset, why not have 3 nebulizer cups so you can sterilize once a day?
