@leslieb52 the only concern to have while on Prolia is not to have dental work right before or after your shot. My endocrinologist stated that I would be on it for the rest of my life I was on Reclast but my last DEXA scan showed that there was no improvement. She said that I should have no side effects. Blood work is taken before my shot to check my calcium scores . I was told too much calcium was not good so I don’t take calcium anymore I go to an infusion center for my shot and the nurses are great. They always ask if I have any concerns or questions . So, don’t hesitate to ask as many questions to get you comfortable Good luck!

@susanjane77 thanks. I will see if I can get in to see my dentist before I begin shots.
I heard the “the rest of my life” too.
I heard that Prolia is recommended for 10 years.
Given that I am 73; that will take me to 83, then am I on reclast for the rest of my life?
Can I ever get off this medication?

@susanjane77 do you have any suggestions about questions I could ask? My head is swimming.
Did you end up doing Prolia?
I am responding to so many women, I can’t keep things straight.
