@nycmusic no pain no gain. My bones fell apart in cervical spine surgery. (which is where the side effects seemed to focus when I did the first infusion. I will deal with the side effects. I did the research. My infusion team failed me. Next time we will all be prepared. I won't be 3 weeks out from a double spine surgery, I will flush fluids, take an NSAID, and they will slow the infusion down - and maybe even do less. (Research proves this can successfully be done.) But I won't miss out on it, that is for sure!!! I learned a lot over 3 years. I want stronger bones. My friends are all fracturing and breaking theirs.

@loriesco sounds like the best way to take Reclast is to slow down the infusion to 45 minutes, maybe reduce it—and to pre-hydrate and to pre-medicate….similar to how better to deal with chemo……i recently went through dealing with CRC ,and am just getting enough energy to exercise meaningfully….will choose an OP med (i have moderate OP) a little later…learning a lot from this site….thanks everyone !
