Hi, Thanks to this group I learned about ramping up the doses. I started at 2 clicks in October and I’m up to 5. With each increase I experienced dizziness, heart palpitations, and fatigue.
Eventually these side effects became less pronounced except for the fatigue.
I tried 6 clicks 2 weeks ago but experienced headaches, muscle aches, and nausea for the next 2 days. I went back to 5 and seem to be handling that dose better.
My endocrinologist was unaware that the dosage could be anything other than 80 and insists that I get to that amount.
Has anyone had success in increasing their bone density with just 50?

@kittygrrrl I took the full dosage of Tymlos for 12 months. I had heart palpitations and my pulse was 180 within 15 minutes after giving myself the injection I kept calling the doctor to complain. I was scared to death of having a heart attack and she recommended I still take it because it was natural side effect. I stuck with it for one year had the bone density test after 12 months and my osteoporosis was slightly worse. I am now on Prolia going on 6 months.

As I understand the mechanism of Tymlos, it stimulates the thyroid in a bolus action. The thyroid then does its thing in promoting bone growth. If that is correct, the amount needed by each person to start this reaction may be different. Some may have a more sensitive thyroid. Hopefully @gently will correct me.
