@sueinmn …I was also told by my specialist rather than the tap water itself being the risk,,(provided it’s treated of course), it’s in the plumbing where the bacteria resides. So same concern as our shower heads? Jeanne

@heidi0974 Yes, most recommendations are to raise the temperature of your hot water above 130f to kill mycobacteria. This minimizes the amount of NTM in your shower.
