@rwdixon4 Bob, I’m so excited for your surgery! I was at Phoenix Mayo for nine days and then flew home. I think it’s wonderful that you get to be in a nursing home for a week or so. That’s really going to help you heal up before your flight home. My flight wasn’t bad. They’ll take you through in the wheelchair and you’ll get to sit in the front seat. I flew Southwest and they really took care of me.
Please keep all of us updated along the way! I remember typing on this site as I was sitting on the gurney after they had put my IVs in. There’s a lot of excitement, but also plenty of time to communicate with others.

@sherrym25 hi Sheri I’m still at Mayo Phoenix still having a lot of pain haven’t got a brace that fits right yet today’s day six I think hope to have the right brace in the next day or so then they want me to go to an acute rehab rehabilitation hospital for maybe five days?
We’ll see I’m having a tough time using this phone as a computer. I should’ve brought my laptop and should’ve brought a friend to fly back with me. I think I’ve got that resolved hopefully soon.?

@sherrym25 Thank You for your reply and congratulations on your recovery! I'm still worried about recovery and getting home. I am hoping for a positive experience but I am aware there will be allot of pain I just hope the goal is worth the journey ?
