Degraded TBS. Anyone able to treat it successfully
I've been diagnosed with osteoporosis because I have a degraded TBS. Anyone able to improve their TBS scores? My score is 1.19. I'm thinking of trying an anabolic.

Anybody? Am I the only one with osteoporosis based on TBS scores?
I started Tymlos because I have osteoporosis and lower TBS scores

1 Reaction@lightlifts How long have you been on Tymolos? That's one of the drugs I'm considering. I was just wondering if it can make my degraded TBS better. My bone density isn't too bad so it's my TBS that is worrisome.
I've only been on it 4 months. That's what is is supposed to help.
It's a bone builder as is Forteo.
They are supposed to be followed by Reclast or Prolia but I'm taking one step at a time.
Yes you should qualify for a bone builder

1 ReactionMy TBS scores are good and my dexa normal.
I was diagnosed with osteoporosis years ago but am not longer in the osteoporosis territory.
I use strontium citrate and BHRT plus all the usual exercise and good health interventions of calcium etc.
You might consider strontium citrate.

1 ReactionI have very low T score and TBS, and just my first Evenity shots a couple days ago. Hopefully my bones will be stronger and stop the degrading firther after 12 months' treatment.

My L1 was my weakest link and remains so. Before treatment, my L1 TBS was 1.115. It increased to 1.225 after completing Forteo, although the value did fluctuate and at one point was as high as 1.276. My L2 TBS also moved up and down even though it remained in normal range most of time. This suggests the inherent variability in TBS measurements.
Would love to hear your physician's perspective as you move forward.

1 Reaction@hmom I hope it works for you! I've heard Evenity builds bone very quickly!
@mayblin My appointment isn't until May. My PCP wanted me on Fossamax, but it's my understanding biophosphates don't do anything for building TBS. I'm hoping for an anabolic. I'm also going for a REMS scan in February just to confirm what was found on DEXA. While I wait I'm doing my best to exercise and eat right.
@kathleen1314 Did you ever just use Strontium Citrate without the use of BHRT?
