Hi James.

Just ran across this post from 2023. How are you doing?

FWIW, I had my first panic attack at 18. I'm 71 now. My panic attacks started in 1972. There wasn't much help available at that time. I was told by our PCP I simply had to "grow up". That was heartbreaking at the time - but the Dr and my family were working with what they knew, and didn't know.

I took up marathon running in my late 20s to mid 40s and that helped with anxiety, depression, everything. By the time I had another panic attack, 2002, I discovered there were medicines to help with anxiety and depression, along with talk therapy. I used both, and still do.

So those are the things that helped me. I hope you have gotten some relief as well.

All the best!

Joe

@heyjoe415 What a thoughtful reply, Joe. I am tagging @heyjoe415 so he has a better chance of seeing it.

Now seeing this I am interested to learn how you are doing, James. You originally wrote describing your situation and process of figuring out more about your venous insufficiency and tachycardia. At that time you were preparing for a cardiology appointment but not expecting much to come from it. I agree with @heyjoe415 that knowledge and care keeps changing.

How are you doing? Have you found a doctor(s) to help you?
