Is this Long COVID?
I got the 2nd strain COVID,when I went to my sister's funeral. No one knew that my sister-in-law had it.
It's an 9 hr ride from where I live to where they had the funeral.
We had the funeral and left the next day. We were travelling for about an hour when my calves began to hurr. That was the start!
2 days after I got home I was in hospital couldn't breathe right.
Was in surgery within the next 48hrs maybe less. They had to Intubate me. I was medically induced into a 4 day coma. My left lung collapsed.
16 days later I was let out of hospital. Very weak, very tired and not knowing what the hell went on in hospital.
I seen my brother die from COVID at the same hospital I was in!! Right Infront of my eyes!! Or so my brain thought I had seen it! Thank God it was my brain playing tricks but It was so REAL. Then I seen my late son dancing on my ceiling of the hospital!! I heard my younger sisters voice!! I thought the hospital staff was keeping my family from me! I heard my youngest sister say " you, do whatever it takes to keep her alive" All this going on in my head! When they took out the tube I was scared. I had heard stories of Drs doing it wrong and stuff from your stomach going into your lungs people dying!! I heard the survival rate for my age , I was 48. Was not very good at all. So why was I spared?? I live with no taste, no smell evey once in awhile I get a faint smell and am over joyed! My eyes have become worse to the point I now need glasses on a daily basis. I get a cold that lasts for weeks not days weeks!! Phylem coughing! When I breathe I sound wheezy. My hearing has gotten bad, it's frustrating! I hit menopause a few years back when I was 45. I thought it was due to menopause some of my symptoms. But the hearing and sight happened after COVID. I'm not old yet, I feel like I have many years ahead of me. But after COVID I feel like I catch even the slightest virus, I get a cold and it stays for longer now. I'm afraid to go out because my hearing has gotten worse!! Are these symptoms of LONG COVID? Or do I need to address these changes and frustrations to my Dr? Is it Menopause or something else? Is this from my Intubation? What is intubation and why was I intubated? Why did the intubation happen so fast? I had stitches in my neck that they said they had to put a tube into my neck because I had a blood clot going to my heart?? What?? How come my Dr at the time wasn't aware of this even though I told him about the severe pain in my right neck where my beck meets my shoulder.?? I need answers and I'm not getting any of them.

Sounds HORRIBLE.So sorry you're going through this.Praying for YOU...
There are many stories about symptoms that are so severe, some of the ones you mentioned are mentioned here along with many others. I think you should get a total checkup to rule out any other illnesses and try to get more information about what you have gone through.
@csawan031 There are so many symptoms with Long COVID. It mimics other autoimmune diseases. My doctor tested me for all of them when I first got in 2022. Since then, I have had bouts of GI issues, vision problems, no taste or smell, headaches, fatigue, malaise, tinnitus, swelling, edema, you name it. These stick around and some go away. Some do not. Some people have lung issues, heart issues...I suggest you go to these sites and also, read on here about the many others who have had so many different things go in with their bodies. You hang in there!!!!
