You might consider asking your primary doctor for an anti anxiety medication to take before your procedure. After one eye injection, I talked to my doctor and was prescribed Lorazepam. It made a world of difference. I only take it before the eye appointments.

@stanfojc unfortunately my GP will not give ...she is new and no understanding of my predicament..I am in Ireland and we have catchment area Docs not easy now to change Docs and at nearly 74 I find it too much hassle I told the Dentist I had extreme phobia and in the Middle of the Consultation he asked me to get Cleaning done straight away..mine is not the pain anxiety but the feeling of not being able to breathe....😥
