@cbartonsandiego: Forteo sounds pretty tempting as an osteoporosis treatment; however, I thought you needed to hear my saga while injecting Evenity. I am getting ready for my 8th month of self-injected Evenity hoping to build strong bones.
Insurance coverage can be tricky, so I choose to have my mail order pharmacy ship my Evenity 3mo rx. supply to my doctors office where I pick up and refrigerate at home to be ready for my monthly injections in my abdomen fatty area) .
My doc does not want me to get a DEXA scan until I finish the 12 month protocol, so I don’t have any “osteo results” to share yet. I can relay that the first 3 months I had soreness at injections site, and more fatigue, but those symptoms are mostly gone now. I inject before bed and follow a procedure a Osteo peer patient shared with me.
Evenity literature and professional guidance touts it as the fastest bone replacement.
Your doc & your research on osteo treatments will guide you to your decision of treatment for your osteoporosis condition. Best of health to you! Bette. dbamos1945

@dbamos1945 why can’t injections go into the thigh ?

@dbamos1945 if you don't mind, could you share which insurance coverage you use for the 3mo billing (medicare part-d, original medicare with or without supplement, or medicare advantage)? I'm also curious how the self-injection is set up administratively, since most patients receive these injections in a clinic or an infusion center. Thank you
