I take all those everyday and don’t have that issue. I got dizzy on rafubutin. That made me feel terrible. Tried off and on for two months. So went to rafampin. It was tolerated better. Just fatigue. But it’s my third re infection. So maybe I’m just tolerant from all the times.

@westcottkm3040Are you taking with food or on an empty stomach? My first try on the bug 3 , all on an empty, caused chills, vomiting, headache and a rash. 2nd try 2nd try started with Azithromycin, etmabutl added on day 5 caused chills and serveral hours of shaking. 3rd try I took ethambutol and azith after dinner and only Rifampin on an empty stomach. I tolerated therapy. I did really well until, just past 3 months, I developed numbness in my feet., a serious ethambutol side effect my care team misdiagnosed. I stayed on therapy, developed optic neuropathy. Bottom line: food may help tolerate antibiotics, numbness is a serious side effect and ethambutol should be discontinued by your doctor, see an ophthalmologist at least every 3 months and watch for any vision changes such as a slight fading. Ethambutol induced optic neuropathy can be severe, permanent and, in some cases, progressive. Peripheral neuropathy, numbness, can also be severe, permanent and progressive but, unlike optic neuropathy which can be subtle and gradual, presents as numbness.Good luck.
