@autumn1917 I'm so sorry to hear that. It sounds like several of us have different types of crazy tastes all the time. It doesn't seem like there is much information at all about that. Most seems to limited to the taste of food or lack of taste during mealtime, not in between like we have. Have any of your doctors said what they think it's from and do you feel like your mouth is dry? None of the dry mouth remedies help me so I'm not even sure of the cause and no doctor seems to have the answer either. I will have to try a taste of baking soda because I don't even know what it tastes like. How long has this been an issue?

It’s probably been going on for about two years now. The salty taste tends to overpower anything sweet, so I end up eating more sweet foods just to balance it out, which obviously goes against the advice to cut back on sugar.
