Just a heads up, although most of you probably know. There is nothing magical about Tylenol Arthritis. . It’s the same ingredient as the generic, Paracetamol in the UK and Acetaminophen in the USA. . You can take one and a half pills or 1000 mg if not contraindicated for you. The long acting have a coating, no medicine. The coating might explain the delay in relief. My rheumatologist has prescribed. 1000 mg every 4 to 6 hours no more then four ties a day for osteoarthritis. The difference in cost is a lot. Best wishes.

Extended released caplets like Tylenol for arthritis should not be cut in half. Tylenol Arthritis uses a coated extended-release formula with 650mg of acetaminophen for up to 8 hours of relief for chronic joint pain, while regular Tylenol (325mg or 500mg non-coated tablets) offers faster, shorter relief for acute aches,

I would not recommend 1000 mg of acetaminophen 4 times per day because that is the maximum allowable daily dose of acetaminophen. There are many products on the market that don't say Tylenol or acetaminophen on the label but one of the ingredients is acetaminophen. People need to be careful how much acetaminophen they are are taking.
