@gingerw I was told essentially the same thing, except I worry!
Changed to a renal diet.
The damage can’t be repaired, but it can be maintained and stable.

@mah7925 Yes, we can take steps to help our situation. Stopping NSAIDS like Alleve also helps. Sometimes our bodies will respond by improving. It's ultimately up to us how we handle it all.
