Hi. My name is Sherry Davis. I am a recent retired nurse. The more I have read and knowledge about AAA has given me assurance. Joining this forum and hearing others stories has helped. One surgeon told me if my AAA 2mm then I will need surgery to repair the bicuspid aorta and aneurysm. 2 mm isn't much, so I am anxious about potential open heart surgery. January will give me update on it.

Hi sherry I know exactly how you feel I was just reading over some of my medical records and I was always told I had a thorasic abdominal aortic aneurysm the Dr just tell me to not stress at 3.8 cm I’m stressing I do not want surgery either he told me that was a hard area to fix due to where it is situated but reading my Dr notes it says my aneurysm involves the entire visceral segment of the thoracic and upper abdominal aorta 🫀 not sure if that’s why he tells me it is a hard place to access that’s no reassuring to me just makes me more anxious 😥 he wants to wait till it is 5 cm he said mine is growing slow but that does not make me feel any better plus living way out in the country would they get to me on time if something happened. Just know you are not alone and I’m always here to listen. Ann
