How do I know when I can get off my feeding tube?

@cskippy No. I researched about red-light therapy and the amazing results with it. After a few swallow studies, it showed the flap that keeps food from entering the lungs (epiglottis) was not doing its job. After that, I ramped up the red-light therapy. The last swallow study showed it was working as it should--thank God. I remember the doctor saying it was "astounding" that it was working so well "now." This was the same doctor that evaluated the other studies. Being human, I cannot say with 100% certainty that the red-light was the reason but cannot rule it out either. There are articles about this topic, especially on JAMA. You can purchase a little red-light wand on eBay for around $20.

@thomason I have the something with both flaps, after my swallow studies the one that close to prevent water or food going up your nose and the other to keep food out of the lungs. I got the double whammy. 🙁 How offend do you to therapy per day? I'm not sure what is JAMA? so I can research also... 🙂
