Results from Orgovys
I have prostate cancer that has metastasized in my lymph system. After taking orgovyx for one month, my PSA has gone from 15 to 1.5. My urinary symptoms have improved somewhat. Next step is to radiation. Seems like a very good initial result.

It is indeed, and will probably go a lot lower after radiation.

2 ReactionsExcellent first month outcome! When initially diagnosed, my PSA was 6.4, with spread into two adjacent lymph nodes. After two months on Orgovyx, it was down to 3.1 and beginning a month after radiation, it has been < .01 consistently. Keep on!

4 ReactionsI started Orgovyx about 6 weeks before radiation which was SBRT with some treatment going to two small lesions in adjacent lymph nodes. After the radiation, I had a couple weeks of GI and GUI problems which slowly abated. I'm 3 weeks out from the radiation, will be on Orgovyx at least until late February, and feel pretty good and can do everything I was doing physically before starting it. My RO insisted on starting the ADT as early as possible as it weakened the PC and made it more susceptible to the radiation. I'd like to have a PSA/T test sooner than February but I have full confidence in my RO and his team. I'll follow his advice.

4 ReactionsYes, an outstanding result! The radiation will also help.
And you might want to ask your oncology team if it would make sense to add an ARSI (like one of the -lutamides or Abiraterone) to the mix to give the cancer a 1-2-3 punch while it's still off balance. That combination has kept my PSA undetectable for 4 years (< 0.01) after metastasis to my spine.
There are several major trials showing big benefits from adding an ARSI early for metastatic castrate-sensitive prostate cancer like ours: TITAN is the one that applied to me (for Erleada/Apalutamide), but I think similar studies exist for several other ARSIs.
Of course, everyone's cancer situation is different, and only your care team can evaluate whether this is applicable to you, but it might worth asking them about TITAN and similar studies.

2 ReactionsI am being sent to a Medical (chemical) oncologist. My urologist thought that he would put me on additional medications but did not mention any by name. My biggest issue is the lack of urgency that I have seen from some of the doctors. It's urgent to me, and I would like to move forward as quickly as possible. Fortunately, my primary doctor (urologist) is incredible.

Best luck and that is great to see your results to date. It's pretty stressful having to wait.
