I started on 60 mg of prednisone in July 2024. At the beginning of November 2025, I tapered to zero mg. I felt pretty good the last few of months of my taper. In mid-Nov, I started getting some familiar aches. Started with my knees and hips. It's since moved to my wrists and shoulders. The pain is all day. In the mornings, my fingers are stiff and ache. Fortunately, the hands improve.

I finally broke down and contacted my rheumatologist and told her what was going on. She suggested that I stay taking 2 mg. of prednisone daily. I took my first dose this morning and much of the pain has decreased.

I hate that I had to begin taking prednisone again. I have been taking monthly infusions of Actemra, since Jan 2025.

@ropnrose my question about going back on Prednisone is .. is that just to feel better only? It won’t help whatever it is go away right? What reason did she give?
Thats what I struggle with. Going back to the devils Tictac and feeling better but at what cost 😬
