My husband is preparing to go through Car-t for B-ALL with low hypodiploidy. His 1-year post SCT check-up came back MRD positive (6 month was MRD negative). His car-t collection was last week. He is doing his second cycle of Blincyto while he waits from his cells to come back from the lab. The first cycle of Blincyto knocked his MRD down from 0.15 to 0.02. His MRD is low, so they are optimistic about the successfulness of Car-t. Has anyone had Tecartus for the car-t treatment. I know the reactions are different for everyone but what was your personal experience? They say this is not as bad as the SCT but for some reason this is worrying me more than the SCT.

Hi @caregiverx2 I’m sorry to hear your husband has to go through another type of therapy after his SCT. I know that wasn’t a walk on the beach for him. But occasionally there can be the need for some ‘belts and suspenders’ to get to a full remission. So he’ll now be having a CAR-T procedure to help ‘seal the deal’.
I know you’re a little nervous about him having this procedure, but we’ve got your back!! I think you’ll find information shared in Connect from most other members who have gone through the CAR-T will be very reassuring.

I’d like to introduce you to @ntsimpson, whose husband had Car-T and was back to hiking and playing tennis 3.5 months after his procedure:

How soon will your husband be having his CAR-T procedure?
