Lumbar ablation to relieve pain.

Another voice in the crowd. I had bilateral lumbar radiofrequency ablations in October for spinal stenosis and arthritis, and they did exactly nothing. At least I'm no worse, but definitely no better.
Just saw my doctor this morning, and at this point there's basically nothing to do except manage it as best as we can.

I just finished my ablation block to see if I’m a good candidate.
I also got no relief from the blocks so I won’t get the ablation.

@anewyorker Has your doc mentioned either a spinal cord stimulator trial or a pain pump trial. Some people have benefitted greatly from them. May you experience some pain relief this holiday season. Keep well and be blessed.
