Is the excess hormones the cause of uncontrollable crying at times?

Is the excess hormones the cause of uncontrollable crying at times? Is there specific hormones? Which hormone? I am already on anti depressants but still have the sudden crying. What else could help? Is there a blood or urine test that can be asked for? Thank you

I would ask for a blood serum serotonin test; brain serotonin & NETS serotonin are released differently. Also blood tests such as Chromogranin A, plasma ACTH, AM cortisol & plasma histamine might help too. A 24-hr 5-HIAA urine cortisol might give better results.

@amygirl The ACTH, AM cortisol & plasma histamine are hormone tests.

I am crying too!!!! They did a pet dotetate but didn’t see anything remarkable in my urine test. But I have strong pounding in my chest like I’m having a heart attack and rapid pulsing at my neck so I know this is the cetacholamines from the carotid body tumor for sure. But the crying is happening more and more. I’m already on micro doses ketamine that helped but I can’t get through a day without uncontrollable 😭
