Gemtesa is for overactive bladder. I would think not for retention. I took Gemtesa for Overactive bladder and IC for two months and did very well. Then I switched to Myrbetriq due to cost. The cost with my plan was $400. I’ve only been on the Myrbetriq for a week and so far I haven’t seen good results, but it may be due to being on it such a short time. I don’t know. I do know this. A friend at church suggested that I look into ordering from a reputable Canadian pharmacy I did that yesterday. My doctor is providing a new prescription for Gemtesa. I will upload that to the Canadian drug site and just FYI for anyone who has never ordered or considered ordering from Canada, my Medicare part D plan does not cover Gemtesa so for me the cost for 30 pills was $600. On the Canadian site which seems to be quite reputable. I am able to get 90 pills for about $300. This includes taxes shipping tariffs the whole shebang so I will definitely be back on Gemtesa. The name of the Canadian company is Northwest Drugs or just Northwest I can’t remember. But regarding your question about urinary retention, you do not want to take Gemtesa Myrbetriq for urinary retention. I’m sure you must have intended to say overactive bladder am I right?
