Hello @cobb, I am from San Diego and hope to go there to visit my family after a year of Onero is completed. Maybe stay couple of months and access a program there -as a drop in- if I can. So please let me know your experience also. My Dexa was 3.2 spine, hips 2.5/2.4. Next is due 2/26. I am deferring until 10/26 after I am in Onero for one year. Could not get Medicare to provide one prior to starting and I decided the $600 wasn't feasible for my budget.
The thoracic spine area and muscles were trashed by the T8 fracture and I could not do much without pain. I was barely able to deadlift 6# total initially and my trunk was very unstable. Liz (PT) says she is seeing muscle formation and my stability has improved a 1000%. I can feel and see it. My last lift for all sets and reps- 11#. This may seem like a small gain but it's huge actually. I have had to proceed slowly(adding 1.5 pounds) and relearn how to listen to my body. The deadlifting is mentally making stronger and the fear is much less. My pain is less. My ability to do what I need to live alone here in GA and maintain my house has increased. Unfortunately I now have pneumonia and will miss 2 weeks for sure. My partner (who opted out of meds) in one session has not fractured and she is making great strides. The program so there are no one else results I can tell you about.
I hope this helps. I will have my journey on instagram with videos as soon as I feel better. Wishing you a successful experience!

@staceywren Huge congratulations on your continued effort and accomplishment. My femoral necks are the bigger issue, 3.1 and 2.7, with hip FRAX 33% and overall FRAX 43%. I really felt comfortable with the class process and Dr. Wendy Green is great. So, looking forward to the slow and steady progress. Keep in touch when you get back to SD!
