Completed radiation in November 2020.
It was a couple years before I felt a little like my old self.
Done with anastrozole in December 2025.
Day by day, life is returning to normal.
But that dark cloud lurks in the background. When friend have reoccurring cancer, I know that’s a possibility for me too.
So I treasure the good days.
My wish for all of you is that the day comes when you haven’t had one thought that you ever had cancer.
That sounds insane but that day will come and you’ll be so relieved and know you are healing!

It’s only been eight days! I know I don’t have much to base my experience on, but I have been looking forward to this for so long! So I’m in uncharted territory.
So much information is available about treatment side effects, but little for post treatment effects/recovery.
I’m 70, so am curious as to what symptoms are due to anastrozole and what are caused by natural ageing. Maybe due to the interruption of cancer, I may never know the natural process.
Forgive me for boasting, but I’m just glad to be through it!
