I'm going to Rochester on January 12. I love Mayo and had a partial thyroidectomy in 2022 there. Thanks to Mayo, I don't need to take thyroid meds.

I think, just in case, I'm going to stop zepbound 10 days prior. I would hate to have situation where they could have done something while I'm there, but can't because of the Zepbound. I'm very nervous about what could be going on. I know Mayo is test best place to be and that gives me piece of mind.

Thank you so much for your reply, and I hope you're doing well.

@sak2 Thank you for your good wishes and for the date when you will be in Rochester. I don't know much about Zepbound but you might like to check in with your prescribing physician to make sure it's OK to stop the meds prior to your Mayo visit. I'm with you. Despite the distance I'm grateful to be a Mayo patient.

If you haven't been to Mayo in Rochester in a few years then you might like to review the updates on downtown construction. The construction creates huge tie-ups in traffic although there are ample detour signs. We just got back earlier this week and we stay downtown. Two mornings I took the hotel shuttle because it was cold and icy and our walking route has changed because of construction.

Here is the Mayo link where you can check for updates on construction:

The day before each appointment I received a text giving me updates on where to park. While we didn't need that information I found it helpful.

Will you please let me know the outcome of your appointment at Mayo on January 12?

@sak2, did you find out from your care team at Mayo Clinic about whether or not Zepbound can be continued prior to your visit?
