My husband was put on Seroquel this past Summer after going through some seriously rough patches with his behavior…delusions and paranoia. He was on it for a couple of months but it didn’t help as much as hoped for. The neurologist then changed him to Risperidone which seems to be helping better. I have read where some people with dementia are on no medication at all…I have a hard time under standing that. I can’t imagine where my husband, or myself for that matter, would be without it. I guess the disease affects everyone differently.

Hi.....met you today at the group meeting. We used risperidone for several years until it was no longer of any use to him. We realized this because his anxiety kept increasing. The doctors at Mayo told us to wean him off over a period of a month. We moved on to a good brand of CBD oil and that has made all of the difference in our ability to keep him at home.
