@sak2 I'd like to welcome you to Mayo Clinic Connect and to the Gynecological Cancers Support Group. You will find us to be a great group who share our own personal experiences while we support one another.

You are wise to go to Mayo for this hysteroscopy. You will receive compassionate and excellent care and you'll receive your results quickly, often within the same day. I suggest that when you go to Mayo that you plan to stay for an additional day or so to not only get your results but also anticipate that Mayo could add additional appointments.

I've been a patient at Mayo in Rochester, MN since 2019. My hysteroscopy was done along with a D & C so I was under light anesthesia. Mine was performed at my local hospital. Since my biopsy from the D&C showed endometroid adenocarcinoma (endometrial cancer) I was referred to Mayo Clinic. I've continued at Mayo Clinic since my first procedure and my care has been excellent.

In your place I'd go with what you've been told about continuing to take your prescribed medication.

When is your procedure scheduled? Which campus will you go to - Minnesota, Florida or Arizona?

Helen, you say that you had "light anesthesia" for D&C hysteroscopy. Can you tell me the name if the anesthesia you were given? Was it propofol? Cheryl
