I'm a 14 gallon donor. I had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from the back of my hand about 3 weeks ago. The biopsy punch was about 1/4" in diameter, closed with one suture, and biopsy showed cancer cells near but not at the border. My dermatologist thought the biopsy had removed all cancer cells but advised me to have it reinspected in about 3 to 6 months, with no further treatment at this time. Your guidelines call for a 4 week suspension of eligibility for donation. I would otherwise be eligible right now. Will I be considered eligible with this history 4 weeks after the biopsy? I don't want to waste my time or that of the donation staff, if this will be ruled disqualifying.

@bartman49, I'm tagging the moderator of the Blood Donor blog, @nathanwilliamson, to make sure he sees your question about eligibility.
