Anyone had Gentle Wave procedure for root canal? Tips?

one tooth is compromised , there are two options
to safe the tooth, one is to use a "gentle wave" procedure, it is supposed to be less invasive than a regular root canal treatment,' treatment is done in one appointment, the normal root canal procedure requires 2 visits,
has anyone had a " gentle wave " procedure, and how was your experience?

@jwinlv Welcome to Connect and thanks for sharing your experience with the New Wave technique for root canal treatment. Good for you! Your story shows the value of ‘following your gut’ and getting an opinion for your tooth and possible extraction. Being able to keep your own tooth is generally the healthiest option long term. Will you be returning to your new dentist or seeking care at your wife’s dentist for the crown?

@loribmt This endodontist does not do crowns, so I'll be going to the regular dentist.

I had this procedure done a couple of years ago and it was painless. Its by far the most amazing dental experience i have had in all of my 55 years . Simply put pain free root canal and cleaning. Find a place that has Gentle wave and go there, that's my biggest recommendation.

Hi @charlotte12 The edit option is available for 2 hours after we post a reply. Once the option closed we can’t edit ourselves, but it’s still super easy to have an edit done for you.
Use the same three dots … in the lower right corner.
Click: Report Comment. A new box will open up where you can let a moderator know what changes you’d like to make.
A little tip. Once you open that new box you won’t be able to see the original rely than needs editing. So, when I need to do that, I copy and paste my reply in the box, then make the edit comments from there to show where a word correction is needed or rephrasing, whatever you’d like.

Give it a try and let me know if it doesn’t work out for you.

Yes, pease let us know what you learn. That was nice you got a great reply from the former hygenist. People here are great.

I've had a root canal way back b4 this choice. I had no problem with the procedure even back then.

The worst part was waiting, as their was time in between different parts of the procedure. Necessary but annoying waiting. Similiar to getting an implant. Good luck. All the best.
