have you seen a doctor for the lump. could it be a bug bite, you know spider maybe.

@randallshields56 hey - no I have not but was really wondering if it was something that I should have an appointment for. I have no other symptoms of any sort of brain tumour besides the fact I woke up a bit dizzy this morning... its certainly not a bug bite because its quite large, its not raised much but its probably the size of the rim of a water bottle, only slightly raised, totally rock hard.
