I am finally eating whatever the family is having just takes longer to eat. I will be 9 weeks from last treatment this week. I still have VERY limited taste which the oncologist said I should see some improvement by Christmas. I really miss tasting food but my health team keeps telling me to be patient it will improve, I hope. My oncologist checked me over last week and did not see or feel any indicator of cancer. I was told that 90 to 91 percent the radiation killed it. I meet with my ENT next week for a review. I was told my body being so cold was I was anemic and was told to take Iron and Vitamin B supplement. I still have not put on any weight but working on it trying to eat and drink as many calories as I can.

@dragonfire I think you are well on the road to recovery, long as that road can be sometimes. This will be a year you won't soon forget. I hope you never have to experience this again.
Now, go ahead and eat a whole pie, whatever your favorite is. Chase that with a milkshake. This of course is not recommended five years out but for now, enjoy. And Merry Christmas.

@dragonfire Great news! By christmas you will feel so much better. You must be so relieved about all this. So glad you have family to talk to,I'm sure it helps a lot. My husband started his radiation today and tomorrow he has cisplatin infusion and radiation afterwards, same on Wed, I'm sure it will be hard for him but his next ,and last, cispis Dec 31st. He's in a clinical trial so 3 weeks then a particular type of pet scan in NYC on day 10 to check if his cancer is aggressive or not. Meeting dr on Friday to discuss what's next after the 3 weeks. I'm very happy for you to be this improved since last week.
