I had several attempts over several years. The last was unsuccessful.
The cervix was to tight.
They gave me Tylenol beforehand. It was uncomfortable however only painful for seconds at a time.
Like terrible menstrual cramps. Next step was a D&C however I elected to have a total hysterectomy at this point. Tamoxifen for breast cancer caused my issue with a thickened endometrial
stripe. I asked at the very first problem for a hysterectomy. I was told by my GYN and Breast Oncologist to follow up closely. I said forget about a D&C...
I want everything out.
The gynecological oncologist surgeon agreed. Sure enough there was a small polyp with a 8mm clear cell carcinoma. In retrospect I am sorry that I did not demand surgery 4 years sooner.
I was 69 then. Don't know your circumstances however...a hysterectomy might be a consideration. ??
Out patient robotic surgery was easier than a dental implant! Good luck!

What a great decision to have the hysterectomy! I was diagnosed with clear cell endometrial cancer in 2022 and it has been quite a journey. The robotic surgery was, as you said, surprisingly easy. Stay well!!
