@victoria93 my rheumatologist readily agreed to starting with small dose and it was done in his office. I have responded very well to the Tymlos thus far.. Dexa showed good gains

@daisylou Interesting about your rheumatologist and the small initial dose. Helpful comment for me just starting. I think Tymlos works pretty fast, wd be good for me! Thanks.

Effective Dosage of Tymlos
Recommended Dosage
The standard dosage of Tymlos (abaloparatide) for treating osteoporosis is 80 micrograms (mcg) administered once daily.
Minimum Effective Dose
There is no established minimum dose below 80 mcg that is proven effective for building bone. The recommended dose is based on clinical studies that demonstrated its efficacy in increasing bone density and reducing fracture risk.
I would ask…I know our Tymlos clinician said I could start a couple clicks lower (20mcg) but suggested starting full dose …it only a
Lasts a few hours and it gives you a place to go to if you feel you can’t handle the effects which may be mild anyway as they are for 90 plus percent of Tymlos patients
