I was just going to tell you everything Colleen is saying. Everything they are doing to prepare right now and all the possibilities they mention are just their routine protocol for everyone. It’s just part of the standard process. You want them to do a CT scan before surgery (easy). The more you can just rest and go with the flow right now, the easier your recovery will be. No need to ask about biopsy outcomes right now because you’re going to have the pathology report in hand very soon and you’ll know everything for sure. I’ve had 50+ typical carcinoids in both lungs for decades and they are still stage 1 and have never spread outside my lungs. Very very very slow growing. I’m doing well. People like you that just have a single typical carcinoid just have that section of the lung removed and then get back to their life with just periodic CT scans to be sure. Anesthesia is more risky for seniors. You’re young and that works in your favor. You’re going to be okay. When I’m trying to get the time to pass quickly like during an MRI, I just close my eyes and start praying for each and every person I know. Everyone has challenges and could all use your prayers. Try it and you might even fall asleep. Just keep doing that. Put your thoughts on other things right now and just trust that your medical team knows what they are doing. They are all working together to help you. After surgery you’ll start healing and things will get better and better. Close your eyes, take a few deep slow breaths and start praying for each person you know, one at a time. We’ll all pray for you. ❤️
