Does anyone use a chin strap at night for TMJ/jaw pain?

the rabbits tooth ( as I call it ) sits in the middle of the splint ( glued in at the time the splint is made.). the idea is that it keeps the bottom jaw forward. Any one use such a thing??

@tisme I had one made a couple of years ago and it helped. I moved and need to find another sleep dentist to have a new one made.
