@colleenyoung Hi
Thanks for checking in. I had my first infusion of Elahere 11/24/25. Unfortunately I have had 2 wks of severe GI side effects including nausea, diarrhea and abdominal spasms. I saw my oncologist on 12/1 and he said I am very sensitive and would lower the dose 10% for my next infusion. I have also been exhausted and had trouble motivating myself to get off the couch to get any thing accomplished. I was very grateful my daughter hosted Thanksgiving this year!

My next scan is 1/6 so hopefully I will see improvement. I don’t have a lot of cancer in my system right now, but I want to stay ahead of it. My ovarian CA was diagnosed at stage 2b in 11/23 after finding it by chance when I had an emergency appendectomy.

I had no trouble taking the eyedrops nor did I have any blurriness. I have neuropathy in my feet already from two rounds of Carbo and Taxol so I just bought cooling socks for the remainder of my infusions.

Fingers crossed for a great response. 🙏🏽🤞

@leighklock Thanks for checking back in after @colleenyoung replied to you. I've been learning here that when one of us has these severe GI side effects that oncologists need to know this and can make adjustments to the dosage. I'm glad to hear that your oncologist will just that for your next infusion.

Given what you wrote I'm surprised you even felt like going to any Thanksgiving celebration. How nice that your daughter hosted this year.

Many of our members have great suggestions for neuropathy. The cooling socks are one recommendation. What did you think about the post from @carol1024 and the product she is using?
