@jessie1990, I see that @nannybb is virtually by your side as you prepare for surgery tomorrow. I'm so glad the two of you have connected.

I wanted to pop in and mention a few things.
You are going to be okay. The surgeon wants you to get through this surgery as safely as you do. But they are obliged to tell you about all the possible risks with surgery and general anesthesia. It makes it sound scary. You're strong and you can do this for you and your family.

After surgery, they will do more testing on the tumor and lymph nodes to confirm the diagnosis and to make sure you get the care you need if necessary.

I also agree with @nannybb that you should let your nurse or doctor know that you are feeling especially anxious. They can help. You might ask if you can see a hospital chaplain or cancer social worker. They can be so helpful to get you through today and the night.

Here's a exercise you can do if you feel anxious that might help.
5-4-3-2-1 Technique: Name 5 things you see, 4 you feel, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, and 1 you taste. This anchors you in the present.
