I think that there was more than just complaints. Some people really got hurt. Here is from Abbotts email.
Potential harm

If undetected, incorrect low glucose readings over an extended period may lead to incorrect treatment decisions for people living with diabetes, such as excessive carbohydrate intake or skipping or delaying insulin doses. These decisions may pose serious health risks, including potential injury or death, or other less serious complications. Globally as of 14-Nov-2025, Abbott has received reports of 736 severe adverse events and 7 deaths potentially associated with this issue.

The reason I didn't copy that part of their note is because they headed that portion as "Potential Harm" and until either Abbott or someone else decided the harm was actually caused by the Libre Free Style sensor. I considered the information as not a fact and didn't want to repeat it,

My readings would suddenly drop 50 to 100 points from 170 to 80. If one follows their instructions and and checks with a blood prick and old meter, and either gets readings that agree (real low--eat some thing. or find's the reading is off and not do anything; then I find it difficult to believe the bad sensor was a cause of death.
